On April 13, ARIAS and DRIFT presented a panel discussion about the philosophical knowledge that the extra-academic worlds of art and literature can provide academic philosophers. Panel members discussed how more creative or fictional forms of writing can inform academic philosophy or how literary styles can influence academic writing. They also reflected on the performative perspective taken on in the preceding Sandberg-lectures. Does art itself have a place within academic disciplines instead of just being an object of study?
